The gamelan mallets we offer are made in the workshops of gamelan makers of central Java. They reflect standard sizes, weights and materials found in professional orchestras around the region.Water buffalo horn is used in the saron panerus and gambang mallets; felt is covers the gender and slenthem mallet heads; gong and kempul mallets are built with a composite of cotton material and rubber, covered with cloth and string. All handles are sanded, stained and varnished.
